The Prime Minister of Kosovo and the chairman of the Vetevendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, has stated that Kosovo wants an internationally and legally binding agreement with Serbia for the full normalization of relations with mutual recognition at the center, but in the absence of an agreement there will be full reciprocity which will to be established gradually.
Prime Minister Kurti, at the meeting of the general council of the Vetevendosje Movement, said that reciprocity in relations is dictated by our sovereignty.
“We want there to be normalization and we will do this through an internationally and legally binding agreement for full normalization of giving with mutual recognition in the center. At the last meeting in Brussels, I presented a general framework, with 6 chapters, with many elements, expressing the will and readiness to meet even more often in order to finalize this agreement, but in the absence of an agreement there will be full reciprocity which will be established gradually. Reciprocity in the relationship is dictated by our sovereignty. We cannot not exercise the sovereignty that we have declared, just as we cannot behave neutrally towards ourselves or make decisions that create dualism in our legal system”, he said.
