Kurti: The genocide of Serbia is recognized worldwide except by us Albanians

Share

Prime Minister Albin Kurti visited Rezalla in commemoration of the 23rd anniversary of the Rezalla Massacre together with the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari and the Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj.

Kurti said that the Rezella massacre is evidence of Serbia’s genocide in Kosovo.

“We placed fresh flowers here at the tombstone and cemetery of these martyrs of the nation, who were brutally shot just because they were Albanians and wanted to live free in their ancestral lands. 98 men and boys were rounded up and executed by Serbian forces and only 3, who survived, this happened to them by chance. The goal was not to leave anyone alive, so this massacre is evidence of Serbia’s genocide in Kosovo. With cruel and barbaric execution they stole their lives and then stole their corpses. There is no doubt that the genocide of Serbia is known worldwide, except by us Albanians who experienced it, so both local and international justice must act without delay and with perseverance so that those responsible and those who ordered and execute them are tried and punished,” said Prime Minister Kurti.

Speaking about the reburial in October 2021, of the remains of 9 victims of Rezalla, the Prime Minister said that with cruel and barbaric execution, Serbian forces stole their lives and then stole their bodies.

On September 30, 2021, the remains exhumed in Kizhevak, Serbia, were returned to Kosovo, which according to identification reports, belonged to seven new identifications from the Rezalla massacre, as well as two reunions with the bones exhumed years ago from the mass grave. in Rudnica, Raska, Serbia.
