The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora has announced that it will start sending humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian people, after the decision of the Government of Kosovo that allocated 100 thousand euros for the purchase of the first contingent.
The aid will be sent through the Humanitarian Charity Association “Mother Teresa”, which will prepare a humanitarian package with essential products from the Republic of Kosovo and then with its international partners to distribute this aid to countries where Ukrainian refugees are sheltered.
The humanitarian package will contain essential products that include personal hygiene and care, accommodation and food. The purchase, packaging, placement of distinctive signs of the Republic of Kosovo and the launch of humanitarian packages will be done within the next 20 days.
The agreement was signed by the Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Behar Isma and the director of the Association “Mother Teresa”, Zef Shala.
Isma and Shala emphasized that they are satisfied that this process has already been finalized and expressed their happiness that the Republic of Kosovo will contribute to the social welfare of the people of Ukraine facing the aggression of the Russian Federation.
