The institutions of Kosovo are united and committed to respond to any security situation, in cooperation with strategic partners, it was said after the meeting of the Security Council of Kosovo, called by the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.

At the meeting of the Security Council, held on July 31, it was discussed about the two decisions of the Government regarding Serbian license plates and documents of Serbia, decisions that enter into force on August 1.

According to the Government of Kosovo, the institutions have developed all technical and administrative procedures for the implementation of these decisions.

The executive added that these two decisions are in function of security, establishment of public order, legality and the rule of law.

“Therefore, the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo are committed and united to respond to any security situation, always in coordination and close cooperation with our strategic partners”, the announcement of the Prime Minister’s Office states.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, during a media conference, together with the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, said that he believes and wishes that everything will go smoothly on August 1.

“There is no place for tension, there is no possibility for destabilization because something legitimate, something legal is being done. Those who talk about violence, barricades, blockades, destabilization, protests are talking about themselves, not about us. We are a democratic Republic, parliamentary, peaceful and I believe that everything will go as it is for the best. Meanwhile, once again I invite the citizens of Kosovo, who have license plates from the time of Milosevic, to convert them into legal license plates with the acronym of our country, RKS Kurt said.
