Kosovo guarantees temporary protective status for Ukrainian journalists

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xelal Svecla, today met the journalists from Ukraine, to whom he shared the decision which guarantees them the status of temporary protection in our country.

Svecla said that Kosovo will continue to stand by the Ukrainian people in the future with all the institutional bodies.

“The resistance, determination and righteous struggle of the Ukrainian people remain an inspiration for the entire democratic world. Both our countries share the same experience of war and we are committed to providing unreserved assistance so that everyone feels safe in our country. In this meeting, Ukrainian journalists were also told the decision which guarantees the status of temporary protection in our country. We will continue to stand by the Ukrainian people in the future with all our institutional bodies,” he wrote on Facebook.

He added that the journalists from Ukraine expressed their gratitude for the great support that the state of Kosovo has provided for them and showed that they are touched by the solidarity they have received from the people of Kosovo.
