Kosovo Police announced that they have arrested a Serbian citizen, on suspicion of war crimes.
The notification of the Kosovo Police states that the detainee is suspected of having committed crimes against the civilian population in Kosovo in the period 1998-1999 in the village of Gurakoc in Istog.
Further details about this case are not disclosed in the police report.
However, the so-called Office for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia said that it is about asaslav Jolliq, 54 years old. According to this office, Jollic is a resident of Serbia and for 23 years he had traveled regularly to Kosovo and never had any problems.
“He went there to perform certain duties for the hearing after the death of his father and was arrested on the basis of the latest indictment. This case continues the practice of indictments filed by Pristina against Serbs from Kosovo, which thus t ‘prevent them from returning to their homes or claiming their rights’
The notification of the so-called Office for Kosovo in the Serbian Government also stated that the detainees had been offered legal protection and that the international representatives had been informed about the case.
