Kamala Harris and Donald Trump Face Off in Key Debate Before November Election

Share

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump will debate for the first time on Tuesday night, a critical moment in the 2024 campaign as polls show them neck and neck. The 90-minute debate begins at 9 PM ET at Philadelphia’s National Constitution Center.

The debate will be broadcast live on ABC, with streaming available on ABC’s website, app, Disney+, and Hulu. PBS will also cover it. Internationally, the UK will see it on BBC and Channel 4 (2 AM BST), while Australia can watch on Channel 9, 9Now, and SBS (11 AM AEST).

ABC anchors David Muir and Linsey Davis will moderate. The debate rules include no opening statements, two-minute answers, and no pre-shared questions. Mics will be muted while the opponent speaks.

The next major event is the vice-presidential debate between JD Vance and Tim Walz on October 1 in New York City. It’s uncertain if Harris and Trump will meet again.
