Director Vjosa Berisha has passed away. Berisha suffered from a serious illness for years.
Vjosa has shown that in March she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and after surgery was treated with chemotherapy.
She passed away today after a long suffering leaving in grief her family and all her friendship.
Vjosa Berisha was the founder of the PriFilmFest festival, the 14th edition of which is scheduled for July 26-30, and to support Ukrainian filmmakers, this edition will host the 13th edition of Odessa.
Graduated with a Master of Arts in Media and Communication from the University of Westminster, London in the United Kingdom and a postgraduate degree in Contemporary Diplomacy from the University of Malta, Malta, Vjosa Berisha has over 20 years of experience in the film industry.
Since 2013, Vjosa Berisha is also a member of the European Film Academy.
She was also the producer of two feature films, “Flying Circus” (2019) with screenwriter and director Fatos Berisha, and co-produced the Macedonian feature film “The Happiness Effect” (2019) with director Borjan Zafirovski.
