The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, at the end of his visit to Washington D.C., was received by the American Councils, where part of this meeting was also the US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar.
In this meeting, Escobar comes two days after his meeting with the EU Special Representative for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak.
Escobar and Lajçak, during the latter’s visit to Washington, spoke about the dialogue and normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
“I just finished my three-day visit to Washington DC. “We had a number of intensive and productive consultations on our EU-US cooperation in the Western Balkans and the way forward in the Dialogue for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia”, wrote Lajçak.
We recall that Prime Minister Albin Kurti is not reported to have held a separate meeting with the US Ambassador to the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar.
During his visit to the United States, the head of the Kosovar government met with the US National Security Adviser, Jake Sullivan, and several US senators.
