Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Karen Donfried, will visit Pristina tomorrow.
Donfried will start her visit to Pristina, and then continue to several other countries in the Western Balkans.
The Secretary of State will also travel to Serbia on April 26th.
On April 29, she will meet with the leaders of Bosnia and Herzegovina, northern Macedonia, Albania and Montenegro.
According to the announcement of the State Department, during her visit to Kosovo, the American official will discuss the democratic consolidation of Kosovo, integration into European and Euro-Atlantic institutions, as well as the relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
It should be noted that last week, three US senators, Chris Murphy, Jeane Shaheen and Tom Thillis, also visited Kosovo.
During this visit, various messages were conveyed, among them the good friendship between Kosovo and the United States of America.
Also after the meeting with the heads of state of Kosovo, the senators declared on Kosovo’s membership in NATO.
