A shocking murder-suicide unfolded on Thanksgiving Eve at the Beach Club II Hallandale luxury condo tower in Hallandale Beach, Florida, leaving a community in mourning.
Sabrina Krasniqi, a 27 year old model, fatally shot her husband, Pajtim Krasniqi, 34, five times before taking her own life on the balcony of their 45th-floor condo. The couple, both of Albanian descent, had recently relocated from Astoria, Queens, New York, to the oceanside condo.
Police discovered the bodies after being alerted by ShotSpotter, a gunfire detection system, at around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Blood was seen dripping from the balcony onto lower floors as investigators combed through the scene, which included personal items like roses and a teddy bear.
Pajtim’s grieving family, originally from Peja, Kosovo, expressed their devastation online. His sister, Albana Munrett, described the murder as a betrayal, sharing, “The person he trusted the most, his wife, shattered our family.” Another sister, Adriana, wrote, “How am I going to bury my baby brother?”
Sabrina, known professionally by her maiden name, Sabrina Dzaferovic, gained media attention in 2021 for her appearance in an Inside Edition report on street harassment in Times Square.
The Hallandale Beach Police Department confirmed the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide but did not reveal a motive. In a statement, they extended condolences to the family, calling the incident “heartbreaking.”
