The former head of the Organization of KLA War Veterans, Hysni Gucati, arrived in Kosovo on Thursday for a family visit, confirmed by the Special Court.

According to the response of the Special, Gucati had “convincing humanitarian reasons” to be allowed to visit Kosovo.

“The Trial Panel instructed the secretary to manage Gucat’s visit to Kosovo to meet his family. The accused remains in custody by the Specialized Chambers. EULEX and the Kosovo Police are supporting the Kosovo Specialized Chambers”, it is said in the announcement of the Special Court.

Gucati was arrested on September 25, 2020, while still in detention in The Hague.
