Today the Prime Minister Albin Kurti talked to all the lawyers and co-lawyers of the defense teams of the Albanians that are accused before the Specialized Chambers in The Hague.
The announcement states that the meeting was held online and lasted almost two hours and during it the requests of the defense teams for the Government of Kosovo were discussed.
“The meeting was held as a result of the need to discuss and address the requests made by the defense teams: the protracted detention process of the accused, non-compliance with the case law of the European Court of Human Rights, lack of translations and, in particular “not taking into account the occupation and crimes of Serbia in Kosovo during the ’90s”.
“Prime Minister Kurti proposed that such meetings continue and be regular. All teams expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to discuss directly with Prime Minister Kurti and expressed gratitude for the fact that the Government of Kosovo is showing interest and commitment regarding the process before the Specialized Chambers “, it is said in the announcement.
