The Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenkovic welcomed today the European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi, with whom he talked about the EU enlargement process, the Croatian government announced.
Plenkovic stressed the need to open membership talks with Albania and Northern Macedonia in the European Union as soon as possible.
The situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the reform processes in that country were discussed.
Plenkovic also stressed the importance of changing the election law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to ensure the equality of Croats as a constituent people.
He said that electoral reform is crucial to the functionality and stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as to its European future, in which Bosnia and Herzegovina has the greatest support from Croatia.
