Last votes counting, Albanians are left without any member of the Serbian Parliament

The Serbian Parliament is expected to have no Albanian voice in the new legislation.

By counting about 98.73 percent of the vote, Albanian parties have failed to secure any seats in the Serbian Parliament.

According to the Republican Election Commission (REC), the list “Coalition of Albanians of the Valley” led by Shaip Kamberi received 0.26 percent or 9654 votes, currently not secured by any MP.

Meanwhile, the other list of Albanians, Alternative for Change – Albanian Democratic Alternative has managed to collect 0.09 percent, or 377 votes.

MP candidate Shaip Kamberi demanded a repeat of the elections in the Presevo Valley, while blaming Serbia for the passivity of Albanian settlements in the Valley that deprived them of the right to vote.

“Therefore, the elections should be repeated in the Presevo Valley, resolving in advance the issue of denial of the right to vote for every citizen of the Presevo Valley. On this occasion, I would like to cordially thank all the citizens for the high political culture they have displayed during these elections. “Humility to all activists in the first place of the Party for Democratic Action and our political partners – the Coalition of Albanians of the Valley, who did not spare anything from them, during this campaign that support me without reservation”, wrote Kamberi.

On the other hand, the holder of the Albanian Democratic Alternative, Shqiprim Arifi said that the reason for the boycott of the elections in the Presevo Valley is as a result of the violation of the Tirana agreement by Shaip Kamberi.

Kamberi reacted to Arif’s words, saying that it is a problem why the holder of the List from the Valley does not wish the victory of his List.

Nor is he silent about his electoral debacle accusing Albania, Kosovo or me. Finally, I did not even vote for the President of Serbia, who was boycotted by the absolute part of the Albanians. His case. “But the problem remains that he does not see discrimination and state oppression as the main causes of the situation in the Valley, which now appeared in the undemocratic electoral process, through the passivation of settlements and the removal of Albanians from the voter lists,” Kamberi wrote on Facebook. .

Albanians from the Presevo Valley ran in the presidential and parliamentary elections in Serbia with two lists.

Shaip Kamberi a few days ago had stated that Albanians intend to have at least three deputies in the Assembly of Serbia.

Unlike these elections, in the previous elections the Albanian Minister of Foreign Affairs of that time, Gent Cakaj had worked hard to unify the Albanian factor who had competed in a joint electoral list.
