The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, announced that 146 Afghan citizens have arrived in Kosovo today.
He said that their reception procedures have already been completed and they have been accommodated according to prior agreements.
“This process is developing extremely well thanks to the close cooperation with our allies, the USA and NATO”, Sveçla wrote.
He said that Kosovo is maximally engaged in this issue in coordination with all internal institutional actors and allied states of the Republic.
“We are maximally committed to provide housing, well-being and security to all citizens who are unfairly faced with conflicts and war, as long as they are in our country”.
The US Secretary of State himself has thanked President Osmani and Prime Minister Kurti for hosting the Afghans in Kosovo.
