The President of the Trade Union of Private Sector, Jusuf Azemi said that there is information that the Government will take steps to increase the minimum wage in Kosovo, writes Gazeta Express.

He said he did not know how much that salary would be.

“I do not dare to say what will be the salary proposal of the Prime Minister of Kosovo. we have two proposals. The first proposal that was in 2021 that the minimum wage be 350 euros and the second proposal that has now dropped to 250 euros. “We do not want to talk about how much he was talking about, but we have information that something will move for the minimum wage, but how realistic this is remains to be seen in time.”

Azemi further said that they will not accept any minimum wage below 400 euros.

“We suggest that if we have to talk about the minimum wage, for the minimum wage are not called to talk to others, but the representatives of Kosovo’s private sector workers, has its own representative and only those who give consent and the salary decision minimal can have its own decision. “Otherwise, now with this composition that is the Social Economic Council that talks about the minimum wage, we do not know and does not oblige us any salary that will be below 400 euros, even though for us it is an extremely small salary,” he said. / Express /
