The “Dance of Tropoja” has been officially inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

This decision was announced during the 19th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, held in Asuncion, Paraguay.

The Ministry of Culture of Albania shared the news through a Facebook post, celebrating the global recognition of the dance as a cultural treasure.

“The Dance of Tropoja” represents rhythms, emotions, and Albania’s national identity, now recognized worldwide as a cultural treasure,” the Ministry wrote in its announcement.
