The museum “Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeu” in Kruje attracted many visitors

The “Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu” museum in Krujë has attracted a high number of local and foreign visitors this year.

According to the data of this museum, over 55,000 visitors have visited the “Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu” museum in the first 9 months, who got to know Albanian history and traditions.

Only during the month of September, about 13,500 tourists, mostly foreigners, visited this museum”, the museum emphasized.

Over 50% of foreign tourists from different countries of the world

The National Museum “Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu” was inaugurated on November 1, 1982 in the Kruja castle. This museum also has the character of a memorial that is treated as the Albanian tower of the North. The museum complex is divided into several spaces, which are visited chronologically according to the events.

In this museum there are objects belonging to different historical periods, but in some pavilions the history of the Early Middle Ages, the Albanian principalities, the Ottoman invasion and the struggles of the Albanians to face this invasion are dealt with
