Albanian and Kosovar Women Police Officers Make Waves at Historic IAWP Conference in Chicago

Share

The International Association of Women Police (IAWP) conference, hosted in Chicago this year, saw strong representation from the Albanian-American community. The Albanian-American Community of Illinois (AACI) proudly cheered on the delegation of women police officers from Kosovo and Albania during the Parade of Nations.

Representatives from the Albanian American Women’s Association of Greater Chicago (AAWAGC), in collaboration with the Komuniteti Shqiptar në Illinois (Albanian Community of Illinois) and the American Albanian Law Enforcement Association (AALEA), attended various events to honor and support the women from Albanian and Kosovar law enforcement. This year marked the 60th Annual Convention of the IAWP, and it was the first time the prestigious event was held in Chicago, making it a significant milestone for the community.
