He has been living in the United States of America for more than 40 years, therefore he considers this country to be part of him. Mhill Gjuraj was only 16 years old when he made his way to America. But adapting to the country was a challenge. The tireless commitment to be employed in the job market, raised Gjuraj more than his dreams. From simple jobs, he managed to get into the real estate business, which he still deals with today.
Mhill Gjuraj, who comes from the municipality of Peja, in an interview for Atlantiku, has shown his journey towards this business.

“Upon my arrival in the “Blessed Land”, we initially encountered difficulties, since for me it was an unknown place, with a foreign language, but slowly like everything we started to socialize with the district, where we started working as all, simple jobs, and later after a few years I started my real estate business, which I still do today with great dedication. With work, dedication, sincerity, anything can be achieved, that’s why I also adhere to these principles and rules , I am today where I am” said Gjuraj for Atlantiku.

Although he now has a good life, the challenges were insurmountable in a country where he was surrounded by different people and cultures.

“There are many challenges, starting from coming to America, and beyond, which I have mentioned above. I can say that like every immigrant, I have faced an unknown environment, surrounded by people with different cultures. You have to start over, for everything with all your strength. That’s what I did, and today I’m where I am. A foreign country is always challenging, I think everyone knows that. But the desire for success overcomes every obstacle, and success is inevitable. All this, so success must be guarded with prudence and wisdom. If you do not have prudence and wisdom, you can lose everything you have achieved. It is often said that success should be guarded much more, that’s when you started the path to success,” says Mhill Gjuraj.

The Albanian who lives in America tells Atlantiku that his commitment was always related to the promotion of Albanian culture and contribution to the country.

But what is the message that Gjuraj has sent to people who intend to do business in the world?

“Not by chance, almost by everyone, America is considered a place of opportunities. This is very true, because those who work are also rewarded, and real and promising opportunities for everyone, even for Albanians who have intentions to set up business in the USA I speak from my own experience, I thank America for everything it has given me. And to all the Albanians who don’t live in America, I can say that work and dedication provide opportunities for business and make you successful, despite difficulties such as emotional and financial, never stop at achieving your goals.”
