In the Albanian school “Mëso Shqip”, in the Staten Island neighborhood, the Albanian children and their teachers together with the coordinators, community activists celebrated the first day of school.
The opening of new schools continues with the persistence of the Albanian community.
Activists are working to increase the number of schools so that Albanian children in the diaspora can be as close as possible to an Albanian school, in order to attend lessons in their mother tongue.
This time, the joy was also present for the Albanian school “Mëso Shqip” opened eight months ago, where students, parents, teachers and leaders of this community from their hometown Kraja, Ulqini and Ana e Mali, were together, in this day.
