The Kosovo Cinematography Center has announced via social media that Sevdije Kastrati – Dili has officially become a member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC).

Sevdije Kastrati has worked on numerous films in Kosovo that have achieved success beyond Albanian-speaking regions, including the critically acclaimed film Zana.

She moved to the United States in 2009 to study cinematography at the American Film Institute, where she earned an MFA in 2011.

Her credits include the award-winning short film The Return, as well as the feature films Gdhendur, Perpetrator, Vera Dreams of the Sea, Zana, Cold November, and The Marriage. Notably, The Marriage and Zana were Kosovo’s official submissions for Best International Feature at the Oscars in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
