The Albanian community of Michigan celebrated this jubilee of the 110th Independence Day with several events.
On Saturday, November 26 at the hall of Saint Paul’s Church and on the 27 of November at “Mother Teresa” hall of Our Lady of Albanians hundreds of Albanians celebrated together the Flag day.
Among the special guests and singers were the children’s and youth dancing groups, dressed in traditional made the atmosphere truly enjoyable! Both groups of dancers of “Gjergj Kastrioti” and the group of the dancers from Our Lady of Albanians, under the guidance and teachings of the talented Albanian choreographer Joli Agolli brought a variety of dances from different parts of the Albania.
“It was such great joy for the community to see so many of youth and children that love to dress and dance under the sounds of the beautiful Albanian music!” – says Rita Gjelaj, who was present there.
Albana Gojçaj, the newest talent of this community stole the guests hearts with her performance. She sang the song “Jam Albana” nga Malsia. Dressed in a beautiful xhubleta and dancing.
