Almost a month after the tragic incident in northern Kosovo, Banjskë of Zveçan, where a terrorist attack against the police units of the Republic of Kosovo resulted in the death of officer Afrim Bunjaku, Albanians serving in American police uniforms and affiliated with the Albanian American Law Enforcement Association in the USA organized a fundraising campaign through GoFundMe.
They successfully raised $60,000 for the family of the slain officer Afrim Bunjaku from Banjskë – Zveçan, Kosovo.
Today, at the premises of the Consulate of the Republic of Kosovo in New York, in the presence of the Consul General – Ambassador Blerim Reka and his staff, a ceremony was held to present the $60,000 check.
This donation to the family of the hero, Afrim Bunjaku, was handed over by some members of the police forces from New Jersey & New York, as well as the founder of the Albanian American Law Enforcement Association in the USA, Elton Shametaj, to the Director-General of the Kosovo Police, Mr. Gazmend Hoxha.
