Share

Over a year ago, on July 11, 2023, Sebastjan Cenaj, an Albanian international music student at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, captivated the world when he performed at the prestigious 75th NATO concert in Washington, D.C. Now, in 2024, Cenaj continues to rise in the music world, building on the momentum of his unforgettable performance in front of global leaders, including U.S. President Joe Biden and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

His incredible journey began when his remarkable talent caught the eye of the American Pops Orchestra, leading to an invitation to perform on the global stage alongside young musicians from 32 countries at the historic Library of Congress.

Reflecting on his NATO concert experience, Cenaj says, “Performing at such an important event, representing Albania, was a dream come true. It has opened many doors, and I’m excited for what’s next.”

Since then, Cenaj has continued to flourish, crediting his growth to the opportunities provided by UAPB’s vibrant and diverse music program. “The concerts and collaborations at UAPB have helped me refine my skills and expand my musical horizons,” he said.

Gjergji Gaqi, UAPB’s professor of applied piano, also shared his pride in Cenaj’s continued achievements. “Sebastjan’s performance at the NATO concert was just the beginning. He’s gone from strength to strength, working with various ensembles and pushing his musical boundaries.”
