Action for Mothers and Children (AMC) is thrilled to announce its 8th annual ‘Meet Us Halfway’ Fundraising Gala, scheduled for October 18th at 8:00 PM at The Yale Club in New York City. This exciting event will gather prominent figures committed to improving healthcare for women and children in Kosovo.
The evening will feature keynote speaker Emina Çunmulaj, a renowned philanthropist, alongside special guests:
- Joseph DioGuardi, Former Congressman and advocate for Albanian causes in the U.S.
- Dr. Agron Abrashi, healthcare leader and philanthropist
- Dr. Donald Kollisch, Former Dean, Faculty of Medicine, City University of New York
The gala will be co-hosted by celebrated photographer Fadil Berisha and AMC board member Valon Xharra. Guests will enjoy live music, an open bar, and a special video highlighting AMC’s impactful work in Kosovo.
For over 11 years, AMC has played a critical role in improving healthcare in Kosovo, notably:
- Saving over 5,000 newborn lives through essential medications and medical equipment
- Providing cervical cancer screenings to 14,000 women and girls
- Establishing 18 Women’s Health Resource Centers
- Donating over €3 million in medical equipment to hospitals across Kosovo
Despite these achievements, Kosovo’s healthcare system remains fragile, and ongoing support is essential to expand services, train healthcare professionals, and save more lives.
