All the citizens who were heading to the Albanian Parade in New York at eight o’clock on Saturday had one thing in common: the national symbols.

The endless crowd consisted of hundreds of Albanians, who after two years returned to the tradition of the Albanian Parade.

The participants were from all Albanian lands. Even a 50-year-old from Tropoja has made participating in this parade a tradition.

“I am from Tropoja, I am 50 years old, since this parade started being organized, I have always participated” he says.

Each of them, regardless of age, joined this organization, and through national costumes, plis, song and dance, revealed their origin. In national costumes of different Albanian regions, some young girls started dancing to the sounds of the drum.

Children were also present in this organization.

As it usually happens, during the Albanian Parade, Albanians from different lands gather, where for several hours through song, clothes and dance, they remember their country.

They were part of various activities for three hours in a row, followed by a parade which usually lasts about an hour.

Also present were Albanian organizations in the United States, while the parade was led by Albanian policemen.

The previous two years, it had been impossible to organize the parade due to the pandemic.
