The death toll from gunshots at a Texas elementary school in the United States has risen to 21, with 19 of those killed being students and two adults.
According to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, the gunman was an 18-year-old living in the area.
The shooting took place in the town of Uvalde, about 133 km from San Antonio, America’s seventh largest city.
The perpetrator was shot dead, while two officers were also hit during the exchange of weapons, but were not seriously injured, writes CNN.
