In the framework of the World Bee Day, the Honey Festival was organized by the Municipality of Korca.

This special celebration was part of the Spring Fair where a festive concert and activities for children were held in the Pedestrian Zone.

This year, beekeepers from Albania were joined by those from the all-Albanian territories of Northern Macedonia, Kosovo and Greece.

In our country there are about 8200 families that deal with beekeeping, among them are professionals who have a business, but also individuals who develop this activity for passion.

The capital value of the entire sector is estimated at around 72 million euros, while subsidies from the government and the IPARD program in support of Beekeepers are increasing from year to year.
