The Embassy of the United States of America and the Albanian-American Development Foundation had the honor of hosting two American festivals this week, in Tirana and Shkodra, in connection with American Week and the 100th anniversary of relations.

In the New Bazaar, Albanian restaurants served popular American-style food and drinks, while artist Elton Deda and his band gave a wonderful performance to the public.

The festival – 100 reasons to celebrate – was attended by Ambassador Yuri Kim, AADF Board Director Michael Granoff, Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj and Minister of Culture Elva Margariti.

Ambassador Kim appreciated the opportunity to celebrate and honor the special relationship between the United States and Albania, 100 years of our common history and the next 100 years.
