The Jewish Museum in Vlora is the newest institution of memory, uniting the history of nations, survival and faith.

Prime Minister Edi Rama published today images from the project of this museum.

“Good morning and with the project of the Jewish Museum in Vlora, the newest institution of memory, which unites the history of nations, survival and faith, I wish you a good day,” said Rama.

The head of government also stressed that, today, in the framework of the International Museum Day, admission to all museums and archeological parks is free.

The stories of Albanians who saved Jews in the dark years of the Holocaust will have a dedicated place of remembrance, which is the Albanian Jewish Museum, the establishment of which is supported by the Albanian-American Development Foundation with the aim of building a contemporary institution that will prove a unique history of coexistence, faith and hope between Albanians and Jews, especially in the years of World War II.

The winning project for the museum, whose location will be in Vlora, was presented yesterday on the eve of International Museum Day, by the well-known Israeli studio “Kimmel Eshkolot Architects”.
