Deep Purple is recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the loudest band in the world.

In 1972, the band held a concert at the Rainbow Theater in London which shook the hall so loudly that their sound reached an incredible height of 117 dB.

Three people were left unconscious as a result of this “musical attack”.
