“The Government of Kosovo has officially applied for full membership in the Council of Europe,” the official announcement said.
The Government of Kosovo on Thursday morning initially approved in principle the initiative for the membership of the Republic of Kosovo in the Council of Europe. According to the announcement of the Government, with this decision the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora is obliged to develop all membership procedures based on the legislation in force.
On March 16 this year, the Russian Federation was expelled from this Council, due to the start of unprovoked war in Ukraine.
