The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, on Tuesday participated in the dinner hosted by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, for the leaders participating in the Munich Security Conference.
The Cabinet of the President of Kosovo announces that Ms. Osmani had the opportunity to talk with Ms. Pelosi about the current security situation in Europe, with special emphasis on the Balkan region.
According to the announcement, the two ladies have assessed the transatlantic partnership as a key factor for security and peace and stability in the region.
During the dinner, President Osmani also met with US Senators Bob Menendez and Lindsay Graham, Congressman Gregory Meeks, Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, and other officials and guests.
The President of Kosovo stayed in Washington at the invitation of the organizers of the meeting of the leaders of the Munich Security Conference. She was one of the keynote speakers in the discussion on transatlantic cooperation on energy security and a keynote speaker in the debate on increasing the role of women in politics.
