It is about a street in the Bronx that will bear the name of the hero Gjergj Kastrioti known by the nickname “Skanderbeg”.
The news and the date for this event was announced by the Albanian-American, Mark Gjonaj, who was also a former councilor in the state of New York, when he represented the 13th district.
“Looking forward to the Street Renaming Ceremony on Sunday, May 15 in honor of Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeu, an Albanian Hero as we celebrate Albanian-American traditions, culture and community.” – wrote Gjonaj on Facebook.
