US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is expected to hold a meeting this Sunday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kiev.
The news was announced by Zelensky himself, as he added that the Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, will also be present at the meeting, writes BBC.
This would make them the first senior US officials to visit Ukraine since February 24, the day Russia launched its military aggression.
According to Zelensky, the main focus in talks with US officials will be the supply of weapons to Ukraine, adding that there was also a list of demands for the US.
Earlier, Zelensky met in Kiev with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson and the President of the European Council Charles Michel.
