In his latest address to the nation, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that if Ukraine had access to better weapons than Russian ones, the war would end.
Zelensky stressed that “in all my interviews and negotiations with the leaders of the democratic world, it is unfair that Ukraine is still forced to seek what its partners have accumulated over the years.”
He even insists that if these countries, according to him, have the weapons and ammunition that Ukraine needs, “it is their moral duty to help protect freedom, to save the lives of thousands of Ukrainians.”
The Ukrainian president is convinced that if he had the weapons promised to his country, they would save the lives of thousands of civilians.
In Kharkiv, Donbas, and the Dnipropetrovsk region, meanwhile, Russian military activity has grown – targeting civilian infrastructure.
“The fate of the tens of thousands of Mariupol residents who have been displaced from Russian-controlled territory remains unknown,” Zelensky added.
