Students from Kosova have earned top international honors at the NEO Science Olympiad 2026 in the United States, standing out among competitors from around the world.

Four students from Kosova received the prestigious “Best of the Best” awards, presented to participants who achieve exceptional results across the Olympiad’s disciplines.

Vesa Kiçmari, an eighth-grade student from Prishtina, and Kaon Emerllahu, a third-grade student from Fushë Kosova, were awarded the “Best of the Best – Science” gold medal.

Meanwhile, Dion Gashi, a seventh-grade student from Suhareka, won the “Best of the Best – AI Prompt Challenge” gold medal, while Almir Kurtulaj, a ninth-grade student from Prishtina, received the “Best of the Best – Do It Yourself Challenge” award.

The NEO Science Olympiad brings together students from across the globe to compete in science, technology, and innovation. The achievement highlights the talent and potential of Kosova’s young students, who proudly represented their country on the international stage.
