Uldedaj Retains World Title After Tough London Battle

Share

Albanian boxer Jurgen Uldedaj successfully defended his IBO World Cruiserweight title after defeating Nigeria’s Austine Nnamdi by unanimous decision at Wembley Arena in London.

The fight went the full 12 rounds, with both fighters showing high intensity in a competitive and physical contest. Despite Nnamdi’s pressure and activity, Uldedaj controlled key moments of the bout with cleaner shots and ring IQ, convincing all three judges to score the fight in his favor.

This was Uldedaj’s first official title defense after winning the IBO belt in October 2025. The Albanian fighter improved his professional record to 22 wins and 1 loss, continuing a strong run in the cruiserweight division.

The bout was originally expected to feature another opponent, but late changes saw Nnamdi step in on short notice. Even so, he pushed the champion through all 12 rounds, making it a more difficult night than many expected for Uldedaj.
