NYC Turns Red and Black for Annual Skenderbeu Fair

Share

The streets of the Bronx were filled with Albanian colors and energy today as hundreds gathered for the annual Skenderbeu Fair in New York City.

From the moment the event began along Arthur Avenue and Crescent Avenue, the area transformed into a lively celebration of Albanian culture. Red and black flags stretched across the streets, music echoed through the neighborhood, and the sounds of traditional songs and modern Albanian hits kept the crowd engaged throughout the day.

Families, young people, and community members moved between food stands, performances, and gathering points, creating a constant flow of activity. The smell of traditional dishes filled the air, while live performances and dancing brought the crowd together in front of the main stage.

Vendors showcased Albanian businesses and products, while children and families took part in activities that turned the fair into a full community experience rather than just an event.

Now in its fifth year, the Skenderbeu Fair continues to grow into one of the most important cultural gatherings for Albanians in New York, honoring the legacy of Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeu.
