History has been made for Kosova’s air sports. Kosovar pilot Lisjeta Thaqi has officially been ranked World No.1 in the women’s category in paragliding accuracy, placing Kosova at the top of the global standings in this elite discipline.

Her achievement follows consistent performances in international competitions and the accumulation of ranking points under the global system of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), where landing precision determines the winner. In this sport, even a few centimeters can decide the outcome.

Under the guidance of coach Fanol Shala, a world and European record holder in paragliding, Kosova’s team has emerged as a serious international contender. His leadership and experience have played a decisive role in building a championship-level squad.

The success comes under the umbrella of the Federata Aeronautike e Kosovës, strengthening Kosova’s growing presence in international air sports.
