Kosovo has achieved a historic milestone in the Gallup Global Safety Report 2025, ranking the second safest country in Europe and among the safest worldwide, with an impressive score of 94 out of 100 on the Law and Order Index.
The index measures safety through several key factors: how safe people feel walking alone at night, their trust in the police, and their personal experiences with crime. According to the survey, 89% of Kosovars said they feel safe walking alone at night, placing Kosovo ahead of many traditionally safe European countries, including Denmark, Finland, Iceland, and Switzerland.
Globally, only Singapore and Tajikistan ranked higher than Kosovo. This recognition highlights Kosovo’s significant progress in strengthening public safety and social stability, while reflecting the growing trust of citizens in their institutions.

Agreed. Unfortunately the number of illegal delivery workers of a company called Wolt are causing many issues in the city.
I saw one almost hit two young women at a pedestrian crossing. He was cursing at them in another language while being his fault. He didn’t stop and then went on to chase them with his electric scooter. Also his face was covered with a mask unable to identify.
