Dhjetëra banorë të zonës, mysafirë nga Shqipëria, Kosova dhe diaspora, si dhe deputetët Eduard Shalsi e Marjana Koçeku morën pjesë në këtë ceremoni historike. Monumenti u realizua falë iniciativës dhe kontributit personal të Sokol Ndue Prognit, i cili e përshkroi veprën si një shenjë dashurie për vendlindjen dhe ruajtjen e vlerave shpirtërore.
Kryetari i Shoqatës “Nikaj-Mërturi”, Gjin Progni, theksoi se ky bust është një thirrje për bashkim shpirtëror dhe kujdes më të madh ndaj trevës. Bekimin e monumentit e dha At. Aleksander Tanushi, ndërsa atmosfera u gjallërua me këngë e valle tradicionale të interpretuara nga artistë të njohur.
Të pranishmit vlerësuan se busti i Jezu Krishtit, i pari i këtij lloji në Shqipëri, do të kthehet në një pikë referimi për vizitorët dhe një shtysë për zhvillimin turistik të Alpeve Shqiptare.
