Dredhza Braina Wins ‘Cybersecurity Woman of the Year’ Award

Dredhza Braina has been named the winner of the prestigious “Global Cybersecurity Woman of the Year” award in the “Barrier Breaker” category, placing Kosovo at the top of this international competition.

She shared the news on Facebook, expressing gratitude for the support she has received from her family, friends, and community throughout her professional journey.

“This award is not just for me. It’s for everyone who has faced challenges but didn’t stop – who broke the silence and broke the barriers” Braina wrote.

She thanked the award organizers and international jury, while highlighting the importance of platforms that empower women in the cybersecurity field.

The “Barrier Breaker” award honors women who have overcome significant obstacles to achieve success in the fields of technology and cybersecurity.

“This is not the end of the road; it’s just the next step. We’re not stopping here,” Braina concluded, emphasizing her continued commitment to advancing the field and representing Kosovo on the global stage.” – she wrote.

This achievement is a major milestone not only for Dredhza Braina, but for the entire Albanian community worldwide, making her a source of inspiration for younger generations—especially girls and women in tech.

Currently, the 23-year-old from Prishtina works as a cybersecurity expert in the specialization of Threat Researcher at an American company.
