Dua Lipa Granted Kosovo Citizenship by President Vjosa Osmani

Global pop superstar Dua Lipa has officially received Kosovo citizenship, granted by President Vjosa Osmani in a special ceremony at the Office of the President.

Born in London to Albanian parents and raised partly in Prishtina, Dua has long been a powerful voice for Kosovo on the world stage. Her global success and cultural influence have made her one of the most recognizable ambassadors of the country.

President Osmani shared the moment on social media with an emotional message:

“Welcome home, Dua! It is a special honor to grant citizenship of the Republic of Kosovo to Dua Lipa, one of the most important cultural and artistic figures in our country’s history.”

She praised Dua’s dedication and the way she continues to inspire millions worldwide:

“Dua and Kosovo have always been inseparable. Our gratitude is endless for what she has done—and continues to do—for Kosovo, for our youth, for our art, and for our image around the world.”
