The Albanian language has been officially added to the list of languages used for communications in New York City public schools.
NYC Schools Chancellor Melissa Avilés-Ramos announced that Albanian is now one of the 13 official languages used by the Department of Education for school communications, alongside English.
Previously, only 10 languages were included. With this update, three new languages have been added, including Albanian.
This means that all official documents, notices, and important information sent by schools to parents will now also be available in Albanian.
