Hundreds of families in Kosovo will receive much-needed support this year, thanks to the traditional fundraising initiative led by the ‘PEJA’ Association in New York.
The president of the association, Rejmond Zeka, confirmed that a total of $23,300 has been collected for this cause.
“We are pleased to inform you, and for the sake of transparency, that we have raised $23,300 through our initiative. The distribution will begin this Friday. Additionally, we have another good piece of news—these funds will not only support families in Peja and its surroundings but will also extend to Istog, Deçan, and Junik. As always, the distribution will be handled by the ‘Bereqeti’ Association’s branch in Peja” Zeka stated.
For the Pejan diaspora in New York, solidarity and humanitarian efforts have long been a tradition. Through the ‘PEJA’ Association, they continuously support families in need during national, religious, and global holidays.
The fundraising campaign in New York ran from March 10 to March 25.
