Renowned Albanian-American conductor Kristo Kondakçi led the Kendall Square Orchestra in an inspiring concert at Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre. The program, titled Joy & Renewal, featured Barber’s Adagio for Strings, Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante, and Mahler’s Symphony No. 4, celebrating hope and new beginnings.
Kondakçi, born in Tirana and raised in Boston, is known for his dynamic leadership and innovative approach to classical music. As the orchestra’s music director, he spearheads impactful initiatives like the Symphony for Science Series, which has raised significant funds for charities.
In addition to conducting, Kondakçi teaches at Berklee College of Music and mentors young musicians at prestigious institutions like Harvard and the New England Conservatory.
