Kosovo’s President Osmani Praised by U.S. Secretary Blinken at NATO Summit

In a momentous encounter that underscores the strong ties between Kosovo and the United States, President Vjosa Osmani met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken during her visit to the United States. The meeting, held at the Department of State in Washington D.C., took place as part of the NATO Summit.

President Osmani took to Facebook to express her gratitude, thanking Blinken for the warm reception and fruitful discussions. She emphasized the enduring alliance between Kosovo and the U.S., highlighting it as a cornerstone for global stability and prosperity. “The alliance with the U.S. is not only a testament to our shared democratic values and principles but also a foundation for global stability and prosperity,” Osmani wrote.

Secretary Blinken, addressing the Women, Peace, and Security Forum at the NATO Summit, also had high praise for President Osmani. He acknowledged her pivotal role in launching the initiative focused on women, peace, and security. “We are delighted to have President Osmani here. President Osmani was instrumental in launching this initiative” Blinken stated in his speech.
